November

The Assistants are ready to pick up two, yes TWO, Senior couples at the airpor

I thought they should show off since, they worked hard to clean the old van for all of us to go together!

very tired, very welcome, and lots more luggage than you can see

We take everyone we can to see kangaroos.  I love the joey in this photo.

On arrival, the Elder on the left told me he brought a quilt his mom made for him.  It did not work out during training, for him to show me, so he brought it in the office one day!!!!  Beautiful.  These Elders all love and miss their moms!  When I see them serving so well, I imagine how happy it would make their moms to look through my eyes!
We began our Senior Conference with a Temple session

Following the Temple session, President Lindsay announced the assignments.  One couple to Geraldton, another to Esperance, and a third to a ward here in Perth.  A week later, Australia has a new counselor in a Bishopric, a new Branch President, and a new counselor in a Branch Presidency.  Fabulous, and much needed member, leader support missionaries!

On Saturday we all went to the Perth Mint, King's Park, and the Aquarium.  Fun and games that night at the mission home, and then on Sunday we attended Sacrament Meeting together, followed by training at the Mission Home, and a wonderful sharing of spiritual experiences from our service. I cannot begin to express my love for these Senior missionaries.  We are so blessed!
I love the trees in King's Park

Ruthie

We are very grateful for birth of our granddaughter, Ruthie. It has been so exciting to 'facetime' and see her up close. Photos of her before, during, and after the bath are almost like being there.  We adore her!  Angel Anne flew to Ithaca to help for the first three days after Kate came home.  Rumor has it Anne got up in the night to help with the baby - (Grandma Shari doesn't do that - so they might not want me next time, but they get me!!!)

October

Lunch, following training with missionaries in Kalgoorlie

Following lunch I went teaching with these great sisters

Mission Home

Assistants were over to plan with us and we all enjoyed the beautiful Australian rainbow
MLC follow up training in King's Park

We are focusing on planning

Careful planning for each investigator

We used these photos in a fun movie the Assistants and president made to teach using planners more effectively

Using magnifying glass to "focus" on what is most important - we all made fire!!!

The sister on the right is the daughter of Dr. Brown who delivered many of my grandbabies!

Sweet photo of the Dianella Zone Sisters in King's Park on Preparation Day

Farewell to wonderful missionaries

Senior missionaries say good bye to Elder & Sister Tall

We love the Talls!

I will miss my dear friend and confidant

Elder D (a professional chef), came through Perth so I asked him for a grocery list and we had a gormet Family Home Evening dinner (the first two items on the list were chocolate!)

Family Home Evening with the Rockingham Stake President and his darling family.

Ruthie is born in Ithaca, NY on the last day of October!  We are so happy!
