March Mission Tour

The first week of March we welcomed Elder James Hamula, President of the Pacific Area, to our mission.  We have had several training meetings with him and he also visited us here, in Perth, with Sister Hamula, about six weeks after we first arrived.  We admire and respect Elder Hamula and truly enjoy his teaching and training.  He has a masterful approach to the scriptures and weaves together scriptures in a unique way to teach and inspire.  He was not only here for our mission, but also to reorganize the Rockingham Stake Presidency.  He stayed with us in the Mission Home and it was fun and enjoyable.  He spent several hours with Bruce and me, he held a special Mission Leader Council in the Mission Home, trained at two separate Zone Conferences, held a Family Home Evening for all the Senior Couples in the Mission Home, and even interviewed Robby for half an hour!  We took pages of notes and have used his inspiration in the Mission to train and teach even better.  He encouraged us to focus on Family History - getting our new converts to the Temple to do Baptisms for their deceased ancestors.  He made us feel great about our efforts here, and gave us excellent direction to move forward.
(I am hoping that someday we can get a group mission photo that is in focus........)

Wish this were in focus!
